lyrics
Big truck with Texas plates two feet behind me on the highway. I keep speeding up, but I can't get away. I had fun in the fort I built, but it was made out of blankets and pillows. It collapsed beneath the slightest pressure no matter how many times I rebuilt it.
There's a thousand empty dark corners for every one with a monster in it, but that doesn't mean that I won't try to stay away from every one of them. I could never swim so good, but I can float like a fucking Olympian. It's just hard to float with rocks piling up in my stomach.
For every new basement that I find myself locked up in I'll appreciate a change of scenery, but none of them could ever feel like home quite like the first one where that big green couch and that sliding window made me feel so small in front of the TV. Oh set me free.
